Energy Overview February 18, 2014

Oil prices remain elevated, due to decent economic data and weather-related heating fuel demand in the US. There was some hope for a prolonged warming trend developing for the Eastern half of the US, but the forecasts have turned colder again. There will be a brief respite. ULSD futures are on the NYMEX are back near $3.10 per gallon, thanks to the very low level of distillate fuel inventories in the US.
